Project Objectives and Methods
Our research project pursues the following main objectives:
- Development of hyperspectral systems for clinical use without interrupting surgery.
- Compact, real-time capable 3D and hyperspectral systems.
- Automatic contrast enhancement without user intervention.
- Demonstration of the clinical benefits of the developed systems.
This project is a collaboration between the following partners:
- Hochschule Pforzheim / Institute of Smart Systems and Services : A leading institution in applied sciences, focusing on innovative solutions in spectral imaging within this project.
- Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI): Fraunhofer HHI specializes in spectral image/video analysis, AR/VR, and clinical transfer.
- Klinikum Darmstadt: A medical center providing high-quality healthcare and contributing clinical expertise to the project.
Expected Results and Applications
The project aims to revolutionize the clinical use of hyperspectral systems by developing innovative solutions for seamless integration into the surgical workflow.
